Winery in Kindzmarauli Microzone

Based on historical facts, Georgia is recognized as the oldest wine-making center. Moreover, Georgia has deservedly received the status of “the cradle of wine,” which dates back 8,000 years. Georgia has 8 main wine-growing regions, in which about 5,000 unique grape varieties are distributed. The winery is located on an area of 42,000 m2 in the Kindzmarauli microzone. The property has 5-6 hectares of the best vineyards. The plant produces more than 25 types of alcoholic beverages. The plant is equipped with a modern laboratory, tanks and production equipment made in Italy; the winery is a synthesis of modernity and tradition. At full capacity, the enterprise processes up to 2,500 tons of grapes. Production uses the following grape varieties: Rkatsiteli, Kakheti Mtsvane, Kisi, Tsitska, Tsolikauri, Saperavi, Aleksandrouli and others. In addition to wines, there are two types (Silver and Gold) and three types of brandy. Industrial building made of old Georgian brick with an area of 2036 m2. On the territory there is: an underground cellar at a depth of 7 meters, on an area of 1000 m2. Wine, chacha and brandy are aged in a special storage facility in 150 oak barrels. Wine cellar with a capacity of 120 tons, in which Qvevri of different sizes are stored in accordance with Georgian traditions.
